Haircut

Carter got his first haircut today!  His hair was adorable and had a little curl in the back, but it was getting really long and last night he was completely drenched with sweat.  So, we took him into Great Clips.  When he got to the chair he freaked out a little at first.  The stylist asked if I wanted to sit with him, but I really didn't so I just tried to sooth him the best I could.  He didn't want the cape on at all, but once she handed him the spray bottle to hold he was fine- oh, the paci helped a little, too.

He actually did really well.  He had a permanent scoul on his face the entire time, but he didn't scream and cry.  He looks like such a big boy now.  :o(  Makes me sad.

He has been growing up a bunch in the last few weeks.  Talking more and acting more like a toddler.  He brought me a bowl yesterday and said "I nac" asking for a snack.  He has such a great sense of humor!  He was making faces with Chris the other night and at first Chris would initiate the face to make, but Carter took off with it and would end up changing the face he was making before Chris would!  It was really funny.  Especially some of the faces he was making!

He is a pretty jealous little boy though.  When Caleb sits on my lap to read a story he gets very possessive and tries to push Caleb off my lap.  So, yesterday when we were at a friend's house I was holding another friend's baby.  Carter was very snugglie and giving me lots of kisses while I was holding Lilly.  It was really cute when he tried to give her hugs and kisses, too.  She is about 6 months old and she was boucing liek crazy so when Carter was trying to give her a kiss he had to bounce with her to line up the smacker just right!

Shopping Again!

Thankfully Kohl's has an excellent return policy... I decided I needed to exchange my capri pants I purchased a month ago.  I have been having to pull my pants up about every step I take.  So I went to Kohl's and exchanged just about every pair for a size smaller!  I even got a pair of shorts 2 sizes smaller!!  Very awesome feeling!

I have completed week 3 of my 5k training.  I have been trying to run outside as much as possible to get used to the differences in weather, hopefully that helps when it turns out to be 100* that day in August!

Piss Cup

The other night Caleb kept chanting "Piss Cup" Pissssss, say piss.  Piss Cup.  Chris and I were fighting to stay strong and finally were able to ask- What are you saying?  Where did you hear that??

Finally he said, from Lightning McQueen.  Doc has a Piss Cup.

No, Caleb- PissTON cup!

LMAO!

Caleb is 4!!!

Yes, he made it! barely.  He woke up on Sunday and the first thing he said, while he was still laying in bed "It's my birthday, I am 4- soon I be 5!"- I said, yes Caleb, go back to sleep!  haha!

Chris made Caleb french toast for breakfast.  Then we headed to the Blank Park Zoo!  It was a nice day!  Caleb said his favorite part was the train.  He really liked (to an extent) feeding the parakeets.  It was the last thing we did before leaving and he got to be in a cage with these little green birds.  (Carter and I stayed outside of the cage). :o)

After the zoo we ran to the mall super fast to get Caleb some new clothes and he had to tell the check out girl that it was his birthday!  She told him to eat a piece of cake for her and he told her no!  haha!

Then off to Texas Roadhouse for lunch!  Caleb did really well eating lunch there.  Right before we got the check we told the waitress that we had 2 birthday boys at the table so they brought the saddle over and the whole gang to wish them a Happy Birthday!  Caleb loved it!

When we got home Caleb opened his presents: water gun, Car's book, Car's swim trunks, Car's game set, Toy Story game set, Toy Story 1 and 2 movies, and a Red Flyer 3 wheeled scooter!  He was in heaven!  He watched Toy Story 2 for his rest time and after Carter got up from nap we headed to Big Creek to play at the beach.  Carter was pretty gutsy and went really deep in the water- he LOVED it!  Caleb saw how brave Carter was and became a little braver because of that.  Carter was up to his chest in the water!  Caleb decided he would show off a little and "dunk" his head.  Only the very tip of his forehead and a little bit of hair actually got wet, but Carter saw Caleb do this and wanted to dunk too!  Only for real!  So we constantly had to hold onto him so he wouldn't dive into the water!  That is when we decided to get his a set of ear plugs.  I have a feeling the swimming pool is going to be fun this summer! I can't wait!  :o)

When we got home we played outside for a little bit.  We took Caleb's training wheels off his bike- then we put them back on!  haha!  I tried to raise them up as far as possible, but they still aren't very high.

Monday was an awesome Memorial day.  We hung out at the house most of the day and cleaned the garage.  It was very relaxing.

This week is super busy for me as it is the last week of school!  I have to work basically from 6:30-6:00 tomorrow preparing for summer and a little on Friday.  Summer program officially starts Monday.  I am loaded up on vacation hours and am even going to lose 20 hours this month and have NO time to take vacation!!!

We are attempting some renovations...  We started "fixing" the downstairs shower so we can actually use it if/when we redo the upstairs bathrooms.  By if, I mean, this was even quite the project and it was only a shower!!!  ugh!

More later...

Doctor Appointments!

Caleb and Carter had their "yearly" physicals today!  Caleb weighed in at 35 pounds, 40 inches!  Carter 25 pounds, 31 inches!

Carter got 3 shots, he didn't cry at all for the first shot, but the other 2 didn't go as well... Caleb had to get 1 shot in his arm.  We told him that Carter had the same shot and that is the one he didn't cry for.  So Caleb sucked it up hard... he kept saying "Ow. Ow. Ow."  haha!  He is really not a fan of band-aids either, so that was bugging him after he got his shot...

The kids are healthy and doing great!  We brought up our concerns with the kids and after you actually say them out loud to a doctor they start to seem really dumb.

Caleb had a hearing test and it went well.  While we were upstairs at ENT we got Carter some ear plugs- (story later to come).  That is about it!
