I am not sure why, but it seems that Fridays are always so much more relaxing. When I get home I don't feel like I have to automatically start in on chores and supper. Caleb and I sat outside, went for a walk, played at the park and visited with neighbors all before supper. It also helps that I don't have Teen Club on Fridays so I get home at 4. That is nice too.
Caleb is finally getting over this week's cold. Yesterday at daycare he too 2-2hour naps! I couldn't believe it. Then, was able to fall asleep by 8:30 and slept the entire night! I was very happy this morning. So was he, when I dropped him off at the babysitters' he was in such a good mood. His ornery streak was back and everything! The first thing he did was take a toy from a 2year old boy. Then, when he noticed the gate was open he zoomed through it and half-way up the stairs. I keep telling everyone that he is going to be the boy that the Kindergarten teachers worry when he starts school! He is definitely all boy and a stinker to all get out! But when they are your own it is not as bad.
Caleb has gotten into a terrible habit of biting the edge of the end table. When we notice him doing it we hit the table, point at him and say-"no" very firmly. Well, when Chris does it Caleb sits down looks very serious then finds a different thing to do. When I do it he looks at me, smiles, gives a little giggle then opens wide and inserts the table into his mouth. Or, he will just give me his "I'm cute and you know it" look where he smiles with all his teeth and tilts his head to the side. This one melts me!
Well, more later time for bed.
You better stop the table-eating habit. I hear eating processed wood causes allergies. :) Plus tables are expensive these days.
ReplyDeleteNo offense Kate, but I'd laugh at you too! Try squirting water at him. That worked on my cat.
(JUST KIDDING!!)
