The Weekend.

So far this weekend has gone really well. I know, it is only Sunday morning! Chris had Friday off so he stayed home with Caleb all day. Then yesterday we ran to Ames and did our weekly errands. We went out to the mall first to avoid game day traffic (ISU vs Nebraska makes for some crazy traffic right by our Wal-Mart). Chris got his haircut and Caleb and I went shoe shopping while he was busy with that. I usually like to go to Payless for Caleb, especially when they have their BOGO sale, but the shoes they had in Caleb's size were either really picked over or their toddler shoe buyer needs to be replaced. The shoes were very ugly. I am not a huge fan of shoes with characters on them or of plain white velro one's. I was not pleased. So we jumped over to JC Penneys and found a nice pair that was on sale. After we left the mall we went to the grocery store and to Wal-Mart. Off to home for Caleb's nap and some lunch! After Caleb's nap we left for the Apple Orchard. They have really updated some things since last year. There were about a million people there, but it didn't seem too bad. They got a new jumping pillow that the kids (and parents) were loving jumping on. I took some video of Caleb while he was on it. I'll try to post the shorter one on here later. He would get to the top and the other people on there would make him fall down so then he just stayed layihg down and would bounce off to the side. It was hilarious. There were kids falling down everywhere and crying- Caleb, even after a fall that made Chris and I gasp, would just look up and laugh. You'll see on the video. :) Then we went out to eat Chinese at Hy-Vee. That was our busy day yesterday!

Today I have a staff meeting at noon in Ames. Caleb will need to go to my meeting with me since Chris has softball. After that we will go to Chris' softball game and then hopefully get some cleaning done downstairs. I would really like to get that done soon so I can steam clean the carpets.
