Paint!

After 6 1/2 years I have finally repainted my ugly pink kitchen!!  Thank goodness!  It looks so good I am sad I didn't do it sooner.  We also took the time to repaint the cupboards.  I chose a color called Timber Dust for the walls and Du Jour for the cupboards.  Chris likes to call Du Jour- Primer White!  Haha!  Not much of an off-white!!  But, that is okay.  So far we have the timber dust paint completely done.  We also have the upper cupboard shells done.  The doors are going to need a good sanding before I can paint those.  Then I will tackle the lower cupboards.  It is looking really good though.  I am excited to buy artwork and frames to hang in the hall and dining room. 

Next project in early summer will hopefully be the bathroom if gas doesn't deplete our savings!  ugh.  I only wanted to paint, but we have such a mold problem around the tub we need to remove the shower wall to see if it goes all the way behind.  So we figured we would just replace the tub.  Then, if we are going to do that we might as well do it right and get a new vanity.  I am not quite sure what colors I want to paint it yet though.  The colors on a shower curtain I liked are colors I would like for our living room too.  So I may try to go a nice light blue.  Who knows.  That is a couple months off!
