The temperature has finally become bearable! Well, at least for a couple days. Last night I was actually able to go on a walk. Carter and I chose to go on our own so Caleb and Daddy could play catch in the yard. We had a great little chat while on our walk. Carter's sense of caring and loving never ceases to amaze me. He brought up the baby and going on walks with the baby. I asked him if he was going to be a big helper when the baby was born and he said that he would help feed the baby and hold her "gentle", and rock her to sleep. I asked if he was going to change diapers and he said "No, that's gross." LOL.
With the bearable temperatures also came another chance to be outside. So we decided to go fishing! We went to Ada Hayden in Ames and caught a few baby blue gill. The water there is very clear and where we were fishing you could see about 10 little blue gill snatching the worm off your hook. It was pretty fun. I think I had more fun watching them polish the hook clean than anything. :0) Everyone was able to catch at least 1 fish. The boys had a little trouble staying calm and quiet at first, but eventually got the hand of it. Caleb still had to move to a new spot every minute or two.
PS- we are getting a little rain today too! So nice!
