An update on everything about Caleb.
I have started making Chris and I eat more vegetables. So I made green beans the other day. Fresh steamed green beans. I put them on the boys' plates and while I am getting my plate ready I hear "These beans are hOt!" Yes, they are cooked green beans. "I don't like hot green beans!" Normally we give the boys vegetables straight from the can, we put the leftovers in a bowl in the fridge and serve them cold. So, now whenever I tell them I am making beans for supper I get the question- "Hot green beans?" (with a a hint of whine.)
Caleb has a hard time pronouncing some words. Typically his R's and L's. But, sometimes words just seem to be too much for his mouth. For example- the kids can't say San Fransisco to save his life. The other day I was telling Caleb I needed him to be quiet so I could concentrate on work. He asked me if I was able to "Constenstrate." It took a few times for him to practice to say it properly.
Caleb was playing Geo trax with Carter when he told Carter to "Get off my nards". I was in the kitchen baking and just called out that he needs to watch his words. Chris asked "What does that mean?" Caleb-"It means he is riding too close to my bumper!" LOL!
We had Caleb's conferences the other day. He has improved in most of the areas he was struggling in last semester (listening and following directions), but he still has a couple areas where that is a problem. Otherwise, learning wise he is doing really well. His math scores are great. He tends to rush on his tests, working ahead, so he misses problems on his tests, but he knows it. He is reading at a grade 2.5 level. Which is really great! He really needs to work on less talking and following directions better. (Which is what he needs to do at home as well!)
