Quick Review

So, this is what has been going on the past couple months.

Chris' company closed Chris' program that he has been working in.  The 6 other stations that did the same thing Chris did were closed and everyone was laid off.  Chris and 2 of his co-workers were held on and moved to a different department.  Since there was such a turn over Chris decided that this was a good opportunity to leave BASF.  He has been there for the past 9+ years and it was a difficult decision, but he feels that it is what is best for our family.  He accepted a position with another agriculture company called Monsanto.  He will be the Assistant Testing Operations Manager.  He starts this new part of his work-life on Monday.  He is pretty excited, but nervous as well.

Another fruit-basket upset in our lives that we have learned about within the past month is that our beloved daycare Wee Care was sold to another local daycare center Lilypad.  This is bitterweet.  The bitter side is that a lot of the staff that we have been used to dealing with will either be leaving or demoted.  Also, the cost of daycare will increase significantly as they do not charge hourly like Wee care does.  Another bitter, Carter will be going to preschool in a different building than Kiera will be in.  But, on the sweet side is Lilypad is a very reputable daycare with an excellent program and the new owner respected my wishes and put Carter with his 2 very good buddies Greyson and Jack for preschool.  Carter is pretty nervous about the change, but once we visited the site I think he is getting excited.
