This weekend we went back home Friday night to Chris' mom's house. We were celebrating Justin's "fake" birthday. We had a quick grill out and then went to the carnival in Jefferson. That was the saddest carnival I have ever seen! Half of the ride weren't even working. The blow-up jumpy house was even deflating as the kids jumped in it! It was awful. We finally got back to my parents house around 11pm. Caleb fell asleep around 11:30! Way too late!
The next morning we got up early to head back to Jefferson to watch Karen run in the 5K. She placed first in her age group. Chris decided to be in her fan club and wrote "Go Karen" on his stomach. yes, he's a dork! After the race we headed up to the school where the parade floats were lining up. Sharon decorates cakes, so she put her cake business in the parade again this year. Caleb and I walked the route while I passed out business cards and he slept! After the parade we went to Sharon's house again where Chris hooked up their new DVD player.
After that it, was off again, this time to Denison where my Grandparents live. They haven't seen Caleb since Christmas. It stinks that we can't see them more often, but they live so far away it is hard to get over there. Caleb had fun at their house. He was climbing the stairs like crazy, he was very speedy! Caleb's Oba got him a cake so we let him dig into it again, he got he hang of it a little better this time!
We went out to eat at a Chinese Buffet in Denison and one of the waitresses came over and held out her arms like she wanted to pick up Caleb. At first I was like- yeah right, he won't go to you! But he did! She started to walk away from the table with him... I wasn't quite sure what to do. I knew she wasn't going to harm him, but how strange is that??? The waitress taking him and walking around! Anyway, that was about it for our eventful weekend. We are just trying to get Caleb back into a sleeping routine again! Too many late nights.
