Party Time!

We had Caleb's birthday party today. We rented the Senior Center behind our house. It was lots of fun. We served lunch to our families before the party started, then the kids went outside to play at the park. All of my family came and most of Chris' family came. Jason and Mindy came with Emma, Scott and Nolan, the Swaab's, Leslie and Matt, and Caleb's old babysitter Linda came with her daughter. We had a pretty good turn out.



Caleb's Grandma Sharon made his cakes. WE had a construction theme, so she put a dump truck on the big cake and a number 1 on Caleb's little cake. At first Caleb was eating his cake slowly and little bites at a time, so Chris put his hand into it. Then he started getting bored so he tipped his plate and his cake dumped onto the floor. Cake was then thrown, rubbed into his hair and dropped down his back. When I cleaned him up I had to take off his shirt because he had so many cake crumbs down the back of his shirt. It was really funny. When it was time to open presents Caleb didn't want to do much with that. So I got to sit in front of everyone oohing and aahing over all the gifts Caleb was getting. He did get a lot of really awesome stuff, but it was still awkward opening my sons gifts for him. All in all it was a really good day. After all of the party guests left Emma and Nolan came over to play for awhile. Then Emma and her family stayed for supper.
