This week went by pretty fast. I didn't get a whole lot done. I had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday. I got there at 10am, at 10:30 I went to be put on the monitor. The baby was pretty active the first half of my non-stress test, but fell asleep about 15 minutes into it. Thankfully s/he was active becuase they left me in there for 45 minutes without checking on me. I would have been so mad if I would have had to lay there longer because they didn't help stimulate the baby. They sent me back out to the waiting room where I watched everyone and new comers get called back. Finally at 11:36 I was sent back to see the doctor. (Keep in mind I needed to be at work at 12:00, and I needed to get lunch!) While I was sitting in the room waiting for the doctor my patience was wearing thinner and thinner. By the time the doctor came in at 11:53 I was crying becuase I was so stressed out. Every minute that had gone by I was tempted to get up and reschedule. She gave me my group B step test (fun) and 3 minutes later I was out the door. I got to work 15 minutes late with no lunch. 15 minutes later I had 40 kids to entertain while I was in such a fantastic mood! (please note sarcasm). I am getting so frustrated with doctors and diabetic education ladies not realizing that I cannot waste hours in their clinics. I have cancelled the rest of my diabetic appoinments because I can't stand to have to leave Caleb at day care, pay the fuel, waste my time to see them for a whopping 5 minutes and hear them say looks good, see you next week. Argh!
Anyway, sorry about the rant, I believe it is the hormones! Chris came home Wednesday night. Caleb was pretty naughty that night too which kind of surprised me, but I think it was he wanted all of daddy's attention and he wasn't able to get it. I've been trying to spend time downstairs every night playing with Caleb. I brought a lot of his small toys down last night and put them in tubs. One for cars, one for people and animals and one for his phones. We gave him all of our old cell phones and he now has 7. Plus 2 cordless "house" phones and a corded house phone. I think he is set with phones!
We don't have a whole lot planned this weekend. It is pretty rainy and actually snowy here so I don't think Chris will have to be in the field tomorrow. So most likely we will be going to Marshalltown to install a power cord for Chris' sister's dryer. Then Sunday I want to go to Des Moines to get some Christmas shopping done and buy a diaper bag and some bras. Hopefully the weather is nice.
