At my doctor's appointment ON my birthday when I was hooked up to the monitors I was having quite a few contractions and the doctor felt that was too many. So, after my appointment she sent me over to the hospital to get a shot. As I walked over there I called Chris very calmly to let him know I was just going to get a shot, everything is fine though, etc. I went up to the 4th floor, checked in and they showed me to my room. Everything was fine until she mentioned that I would need to get into the gown and into bed. Okay.... Then the nurse said, you are in room 468 in case you wanted to have anyone join you. The second she walked out of the room I was borderline hysterical, I realized this was more than just getting a quick shot. So, thankfully Chris was actually at the office instead of on the road and he was able to join me a few minutes later. The shot they gave me was Tribulitane (spelling) and it made me feel horrible. I was super shaky and felt like my heart was going to beat out of my chest. Well, that didn't help, so I had to get another one. I also had to have a quick internal ultrasound- not fun. So, 6 hours later I was released with a perscrisption for procardia (spelling) a medicine I had to take every 6 hours. Once I hit 36 weeks the medicine is no longer needed. In the meantime I also received 2 steroid shots just in case she decided to make an early appearance. This way her lungs would be a little more developed. Lately I have been feeling quite a few contractions still, they are starting to get a little harder and lower. I also feel her hitting my cervix sometimes which about makes me want to cry.
At my doctor appointment on Thursday I had a growth ultrasound so the tech was able to tell me how much she weighed... 7lbs 1oz! She gained so much. She is now in the 68th %tile. I just hope that it isn't my gest. diabetes that is making her grow so fast. But, we got a few more pictures that are really good, I wish there was a way to scan them to put them on here. I had another appointment yesterday and was checked, I am a loose 1 cm, and am 50% effaced. The doctor basically said that I could go anytime. We obviously won't stop anything, but there is no guess as to when I will go.
As different as this entire pregnancy has been it wouldn't surprise me one bit if I go earlier than expected, although I really don't want to. I like knowing what is going on and when things will happen. I also have a pedi planned the day before and it is very much needed!! :0)
Well, as of right now I have 2 weeks and 1 day left. There isn't much left for work to do before she arrives, but enough. 2 months of lessons to write... Around the house, it is just cleaning. I need to deep clean the bathroom and the kitchen mainly. But, everything else is basically ready.
Carter and Caleb have 1 week of soccer left, and Caleb has 2 Saturdays of football left. His team is the only team that doesn't have to play on the 27th! What luck!!
