Carter had his 4 year check up a couple weeks ago. He weighs 39 lbs and is 39 inches tall. He is right on the 75%tile for weight. At his appointment the doctor said his left tube was out of his ear and his right ear looked good. But, he suggested we see the ENT about tube removal in the Spring. So, a week later we visited Dr. Griffith and he suggested we remove the tube and since we just had Kiera we should do it before the year is up. Two days later Carter was at the hospital ready for surgery. He was pretty nervous, especially the couple days ahead. The morning of the surgery he woke up and cried a little, but we talked about what he was scared of and talked it though and he ended up calming down. His surgery was scheduled first thing in the morning, so we had to be at the hospital at 6am. That was early! Unfortunately the entire family got to go along! There was no where to have Caleb go that early in the morning and I had to bring Kiera with. Neither Chris or I would have wanted to not be there. It went well though. Carter came through surgery great. He had a slight tummy ache when he woke up, but I think it was because he was hungry. But, we got to bring home an awesome pink puke bucket just in case. I think carter is looking forward to getting sick again so he can use it. He keeps talking about it and puts his toys in it. "I cleaned up all my books, I put them in my puke bucket!" Haha! Funny kid.
