Finally!

I know, I haven't written in a really long while. It has been so busy lately! When I think it is finally going to slow down it gets even busier. School starts next week so transition is going to be hectic! New kids, new staff and new lessons! ugh! Also, Caleb's surgery is next week. We plan on going ot Iowa City Wednesday night after work, then his surgery is on Thursday. It is supposed to be an outpatient surgery so we will be back home Thursday night. The next week we will be splitting time off with each other. Chris has to take Monday off and get off early Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday so I can go to work... this is a really "critical" time at work right now meeting new families, training new staff, etc. My mom is planning to babysit Wednesday for us. Then the week after that we will have to take him back to Iowa City to have the catheter removed. I was reading through his paperwork the other night for his surgery and I think it just made me more nervous and upset about it! I am really not looking forward to this at all.

Anyway, enough about that. To update you on the last month's of happenings (I will post pictures later) We visited Mindy and Jason in Omaha and took Caleb and Emma to the zoo. It was a good time, hot, but fun. Then, same old same old... Caleb got his first hair cut 2 weeks ago! It was definitely time, the waitresses were calling him her... not good. We took him to my hair lady in Slater she did a pretty good job. He wouldn't wear the cape or sit still so there was hair every where! We got to keep a lot of it! Chris took some pretty good pictures. I will post them when I get time to upload them to the computer.

I know there is more, but my mind is drawing a complete blank, I guess that is why I should update this puppy more often, huh!?! Well, I will try to write more later when things settle back down again! Wish us luck for next week!

  1. I'm sorry both of you have to go through that. It's going to be so hard for you to see him cry in pain. I had to leave the room when they did the bad stuff to Sylvie. I was afraid I would interfere with the Drs if I stayed to watch.
The good thing is he will never remember any of it.
