Bunk Beds

We had nothing to do this weekend so I decided that we would shop.  :o)  I wanted to hit a couple furniture stores to look at bunk beds, because eventually I would like to put bink beds in the boys' room.  So we wen tot Homemaker's in Des Moines and look through the clearance furniture.  We found a bed that was nice for about $350.  I wasn't sold on it and made Chris go upstairs to the non-clearance items.  When we got up stairs we saw some really nice one's but the majority of them were huge!  They had desks, drawers or shelves and were too big to fit in their tiny room.  We finally found a set that was perfect size and color.  And low and behold it was on sale!!  It was originally $400 and they were selling it for $279.  So for under $300 we got bunk beds for the boys!  After we purchased it I found some more bunk beds and some of them I really liked, but they were $800+.  We definitely lucked out finding that bed.  There were only 22 left and the salesman told us after we bought the bed that the sale wouldn't even be advertised until tomorrow and the beds would probably be gone this week.  So, it just solidified that we were "destined" to buy those beds!  Now, the dilemma is when we should put them together.  Chris wants to wait until Carter is ready to be in a big boy bed and I don't know when that will be... I don't think I am ready for him to be not in a big boy bed yet.
