Weekend

This weekend was a nice one.  Chris was home the whole weekend!!  Friday night my mom came to pick up Caleb for the weekend.  When I put Carter to bed it was weird that I didn't have to come out and give Caleb a 30 minute warning or then put him to bed.  I definitely noticed a pang of missing him- I don't know how I am going to do when I am in Hawaii!  eek.

Saturday morning Carter woke up about 5:30 calling our Caleb's name.  :0(  poor kiddo missed his brother...  Later we got up and went for a walk around town, then the 3 of us went to Slater.  I had a haircut appointment and Chris went to the chiro.  We came home, ate lunch quick then rushed off to Marshalltown for our neice and nephew's birthday party. It was at the Y and it was a pool party.  It was pretty fun.  Carter had a blast!  So did I!  They have a really cool water slide that I went down at least half a dozen times!  After the party our other neice and nephew came home with us.  We got supper and ate at the park in Ames.  The kids all played for a little while then we came home and went for a walk while the bigger boys stayed home to watch football. 

Sunday I got up early (because Carter woke up early...) and we ate breakfast together while we let Daddy sleep in.  Then we went to my parents house to pick up Caleb.  Chris had softball tornament that afternoon.  Caleb LOVES going to softball!  He has such a good time cheering on the team.  Carter really gets into it too!  I tell him to yell "Go Daddy" and he yells it, but it sounds more like "Oooo, Daddy!"  haha! 

Chris had to go back in the field again today (Monday) so he missed another soccer game.  boo.  We have 2 more weeks left, so hopefully he will be able to watch those games.  It should also be done helping the other station with their fields tomorrow, so fingers crossed, he will be home tomorrow for the rest of the week.
