Christmas

Christmas was a whirlwind of events.  We had 3 Christmases to attend.  First we had Christmas with Chris' dad.  The boys received a bey blade dome and a set of 8 avenger action figures.  The next weekend we had Christmas with Chris' mom. The boys received hot wheel tracks, a Wii wipe out game, a farm set and another bey blade.  Then we had Christmas at our house.  We didn't have anywhere to go Christmas eve or day which was really nice.  The kids got to play with there toys and we were able to go to the neighbors house to make reindeer food.  Christmas eve we let the boys open one gift since that is a tradition that I have had since I was little.  We had them open the gift that they bought each other.  This year we took them shopping so they could buy each other and Kiera a gift.  Carter bought Caleb football cards and Caleb bought Carter a batman toy. The next morning Santa had brought the boys a hot wheels track to share, Carter got a set of bey blades and Caleb got a Wii soccer game that he asked for.  Chris is such a pain to buy for, but somehow I was able to find a few things for him.  I got him a Hawkeye bean bag game, some shirts and a tool belt, plus a couple other things. Chris bought me a kindle fire, which really surprised me because he didn't just get me the one I wanted but the really awesome 8.9 one.  He also got me a case for it, a manicure set, a robe (which Caleb helped pick out...it is bright pink with white polka dots and black dogs on it...when I asked Caleb why he chose that one, he told me it was because the other ones were just a pain color and this one was better because it had a pattern. lol)  A day after Christmas we took down the tree and cleaned up all the decorations.  Then the following Saturday we had Christmas with my family. We decided that from now on we will be having Christmas before the holiday rather than after.  The boys got ds games and Kiera got the best gift possible.  My mom had found a quilt top that my grandma had quilted a long time ago and had it backed and quilted. The pattern was the same pattern from my quilt that she made me for college.  The ffabric was all the same too except she had added pink blocks into it as well. It was like she made it for me thinking that eventually I would have a baby girl.  It was the best gift.  Well that was our Christmas in a nutshell.
