Busy Weekend

This weekend went so fast! All day on Saturday we were at a Mid Volleyball tournament that Chris was playing in. We got to Guthrie Center about 12:00 and didn't leave until 8:30! Long day. Caleb did so well, again. He got a little fussy and wanted out of his stroller, so as often as I could I would let him run, but with as many cars, people, cans and mud around it was difficult to give him free reign. So since Saturday was a bust in the project department we got started nice and early Sunday morning.

I had Chris take the doors off Caleb's closet and paint it. We moved Caleb's dresser and diaper shelf into the closet to give us room for his new toddler bed. We went to Ames later in the afternoon- we got groceries, looked at new tv's and baby stuff. I am really getting into looking at little girl clothes. I don't know what we are having and we are not planning on finding out. I also do not "feel" that it is one or the other, but I really want to buy little girl clothes. I made myself a list of "must-haves"- onesies, sleepers, etc. and I am going to get the necessities in pink. :) I figure I will buy it all at Wal-Mart and other easily returnable stores just in case. But, I am excited to start collecting pink things, even if we don't keep it!

Well, to finish off the weekend on Monday we went to Des Moines to look for a new tv. Our tv started to turn black and white on us pretty often, so we new it was time to invest in a tv that we actually bought on our own. Every tv, with the exception of the one I bought for my college dorm room, has been a hand-me-down for us. So we figured with "the switch" happening in February and our tv on the blitz it would be a good time to get a new one. Chris did a little research and they had fairly decent sales with weekend so we bought a 46" Sony Bravia LCD. And of course I had to get a new tv stand! :) We went inexensive at Wal-Mart for that. We also invested in a combo dvd/vhs player. Caleb's favorite movies are all on vhs and the vcr we had in the living room was ancient, so again, it was time.
