This week

This week has been so crazy. Monday night I had to stay at work late to speak to parents of next year's kindergarten students. I was so nervous, my 30 second "speech" was only about 15 seconds long! But I have gotten 2 emails already about next year, so that is good. Caleb's potty training efforts are going very well. Monday night I got a phone call from Caleb while I was at work and he told me that he "pooped in the potty"! YAY! It happened at day care and when I got home that evening I made sure we called Grandma and Pop to tell them as well. He was so proud of himself. About an hour later he ended up pooping in his pants again... how frustrating. He hasn't pooped in the potty since. The closest we are getting is he stood in the bathroom today when he pooped. Whatever. I am just trying to stay as patient as possible. Peeing wise he is doing great. He rarely has accidents. Sometimes he will tell us when he has to go, but for the most part we just remind him every hour or so. Not bad for trying only 2 weeks.

I am supposed to be writing lessons plans for this summer right now, but I am so tired and unfocused it is hard. Carter is still getting up in the middle of the night and last night was the first night I went to bed before 10:30. I am sooo tired.

News from the block: we officially have a girl! Our neighbors had their baby in Tuesday and they had a girl- Morgan Rae. So we now have- Caleb, Isaac and Nolan all soon to be 3 years old. and Ryan (5 months), Carter (3 months), adn Morgan (3 days). It is so fun that we had kids all at the same times. It will be neat to watch them grow up together.

Well, I think I will attempt work again!

  1. That is so neat (having all those kids the same age). They will have such great childhood memories...assuming they get along.
