Back at it

I took a week off of dieting right after I met my goal and got way off track.  So, now I am back at it and am going well.  It took a couple weeks to bounce back, but I am going strong now.  Last week I lost 1.8.  This week I think it will be more.  (I have been mid-week weighing).

I started doing the 30 day shred and my goal was to do it everyday for 30 days, but I used that as an excuse not to do anything else and I wasn't burning enough calories.  (Thank you Bodybugg!!)  So I now have been going on a walk in the morning with Carter.  We walk for at least 45 minutes and I have been burning enough to meet my goal.

While taking these walks with Carter I have been doing some country-side touring of Huxley.  The beginning of the week we took a walk that was about 5 miles.  It was definitely unfamiliar territory!  The last road that we took I was pretty sure would take us back into town and it had the BIGGEST hills!  I couldn't beleive how hilly this walk was that I took.  This morning I went a different way and walked almost 7 miles!  It is pretty fun exploring new roads that I have never been on.  They are windy, hilly and have lots of pretty trees and landscapes.  Carter was staying entertained mostly by the water.  Every 100 yards it seemed like there was another bridge to cross the creek.  Carter loved stopping by and looking at it.  The cows, horses, puppies and birds also helped.  Oh, and the combines and tractors.

It has been nice spending free time with Carter.  It is very relaxing.  It makes me miss Caleb, though.  And makes me realize that next year he will be in school all day and I won't have any "time" with him to do playdates or mini trips.  I will have to make sure weekends are extra special.
