Carter Updates

Carter has been doing really well lately.  After last week's sickness he has started to feel better, but is still a little whiny.  He got over it for a couple days, but is back at it again.

I have gotten the potty chair out for Carter, mainly to introduce it and get him used to talking about it and seeing it.  We borrowed Elmo's Potty video from the library and we watched it on Sunday while I made him sit on the potty.  Of course at the end of the hour there was pee in the potty- so we made a HUGE deal about it and praised him like crazy.  I am not expecting anything, but it will definitely be nice once he can go potty on his own.  I think he will be easier to train than Caleb.  He was always more aware of pee and poop in his diaper than Caleb, even as a baby.  Now he tells me when he is poopy.

Carter is still quite the paci lover.  We try to limit it to bed times only, but the little stinker will climb in laundry baskets to reach the paci's on the back of the crib.  I think he knows he isn't supposed to have them because when he comes out of his room with one he has this cute little grin on his face.  Most of the time he will nicely give us his paci when we ask for it.

Carter's speech has improved so much the last few weeks.  He is talking like crazy!  For the most part it is pretty understandable, too.

He really likes sports and watching games in person and on tv.

Carter has got quite a temper!!  When he gets upset about something he lets you know it!!  Lately he has started to hit- especially Caleb.  But, oh my watch out for him!

Carter definitely has a family trait from my side!!  Whenever anyone has anythign to eat- no matter what it is- Carter is the first to ask for a bite!  "Bite, Bite. Bite."  Haha!!!  It is pretty funny!!  But he doesn't take a nice small bite he tries to take a big of a bite as possible!  Even if your fingers are in teh way- he'll bite right through 'em!

All in all Carter is a pretty happy go lucky kid.  Very energetic and spunky!  He has such a great sense of humor and is so lovable and funny!!
