This Weekend

We went to Omaha this weekend to visit the Dammen family. We left mid afternoon on Friday and stayed until mid afternoon on Sunday. Caleb and Emma had a lot of fun playing together. They had the art if entertaining each other down pat. Caleb would purposefully fall over and Emma would die laughing, so she would try the same trick only to have Caleb laughing hysterically. It was too funny!

On Saturday Mindy and I took all four kids (by ourselves) to the Children's Museum. We let the kids lead us to where they wanted to go. Caleb played a lot in the ball room, he was having a great time! We brought sack lunches to the museum so we ate there and after lunch we went and did a little shopping. We stopped by Toys R Us just to browse and also spent an hour in their parking lot feeding babies and relaxing. We hopped across the street to the mall where we ran in a couple stores quick and then parked at the play place. Caleb and Emma played there for almost an hour. About 6 o clock we went to The Amazing Pizza Machine where we ate supper (way to much!) and then the big kids played on the toys. I attempted to watch the fun, but Carter Roy did not like the extreme noise, so we found a quiet party room to sit and play. We got home shortly after 10, put Caleb to bed and watched "What Happens in Vegas". Needless to say it was a very long day!

What were the daddy's doing you ask? They did some plumbing work at the house for part of the day and then got to have "alone" time playing Playstation and hitting the casino. Where was the mommies' alone time you ask? We didn't get any! (I am slightly bitter).

All in all the weekend went well. Caleb had a lot of fun playing with Emma. They both did a pretty good job of playing with each other. No major injuries, just a lot of "Mine" action... which gets annoying after awhile!

This is my last week of maternity leave, which I have a feeling is going to fly by! I have tons of work to do before I go back ... unfortunately it is at a month change so there is even more to do... oh well, might as well jump in with both feet!
