Back to Work

I went back to work this week. Monday seemed like a waste of everything. I didn't get anything accomplished- except we did get to the 3C's for a walk and gym time. So, that is one plus...everything else was a total wash. No work done and no housework. Since it was such a wasted day I spent that evening creating a daily schedule for Caleb, Carter and I. I made a monthly calendar so Chris would be updated on what days the kids would be at day care all day...and so forth... then I created an hourly schedule for us each day of the week. And because I can I am going to share it!

On pretty much everyday:
8:00 Wake up/breakfast
9:00 3C's- walk/Gym (Tuesday 9:30 Library)
10:00 Craft or activity
11:00 Lunch
11:30 Nap
11:45-2:00 Mommy works (as much as I can Carter willing...)
2:0-2:30 Day care drop off's
2:30-6:00 Mommy works

The only days this changes is when there is an Early Out from school or it is a Friday when I have a meeting in the morning.

So, Tuesday went a little better- getting back into the Library routine was a little difficult. Caleb would much rather play in the gym than be sitting in the library... There were quite a few kids in the gym this day which was fun for Caleb- he really didn't want to leave, but I really wanted to stay on "schedule". Which we did and I was able to get a bunch of work done thanks to our schedule and our new swing for Carter. He actually will sit in it and not have to be held constantly...which is really nice.

Wednesday was productive as well- I need to start planning crafts/activities for Caleb to do when we get home, right now he just free plays and watches "carkoons".

Thursday my schedule had to be pushed to the side because Carter had a doctors appointment. Then today was Friday so the boys were at day care all day. I called early afternoon to check on Carter. That was the longest I have been away from Carter so far... I really missed him. He has been in pretty good spirits tonight. Smiling, cooing, and looking around. He is laying next to me on the couch right now just looking at who knows what content as can be.
