It was Carroll County Fair weekend this weekend, so we ended up going back to Coon Rapids for the mud volleyball tournament that Chris has played in the last 4 years. Last year they brought home 1st place and this year they got 4th! Of course my more competitive better half feels a little disappointed that they didn't get 1st or 2nd. But, I am still proud of him none-the-less. :0) While Chris was playing mud volleyball I was free to actually watch him play mud volleyball. (Thanks to Grandma Mac for watching the boys all afternoon!!) There were a couple close games and I was definitely getting worked up watching them. Which kind of gave me an insight into what I am going to feel like when Caleb and Carter start playing "real" sports in JH/HS.
After mud volleyball was over we met up with my parents and the boys at the Figure 8 races. Caleb was VERY into the races. He would pick out a car to root for and he yelled and screamed and cheered on his car till the very end. It was great! When his car wouldn't win his response was "But, I was yelling for them!" Then when I asked him what car he would cheer for he asked "which one is going to win??"
All in all it was a very good day. Long and hot, but full of fun! So much fun that Caleb is still sleeping right now at 10 in the morning. :0) (Carter of course was up at 6:30, but I forced him to go back to bed.)
