This weekend

It was just the boys and I on Saturday while Chris was at work, so we decided to beat the heat by going to the beach!  It was prety fun.  The second we got there it started raining!!  But, it was short lasting, so we headed to the sand!  We started building sand castles first, but the boys wanted in the water.  I wish I would have some type of flotation device for them, but they do a pretty good job of staying in the shallower water. (I was still standing as close as possible!)  They were in and out of the water playing in the sand for about an hour or so, then we cleaned up the toys and headed to the picnic tables for lunch.  The boys did a good job of actually sitting and eating.  When they got done eating their picnic lunch they ran off to play on the playground.  They have a super cool playground at Big Creek it is an all wood castle.  The funniest thing was Caleb and Carter were on the tire swing so I gave them a good push and a minute later they were both looking down and a little peaked.  I stopped the swing and helped them off.  Carter started walking away immediately and started to sway and fell!  He was dizzy and couldn't even walk!!  I couldn't stop laughing!  I must have looked like the worst mom laughing at my child falling, but I couldn't help it!  LOL 

When we got home we had naptime and then hung around the house waiting for daddy to come home.  Chris had a really long hot day at work, so we went to Ames and picked up pizza for supper.

Sunday we decided to beat the heat again by going to the movies!  The dollar theatre had Rio in 3D.  So we watched that and had popcorn for lunch!  Ran some errands then, came home for an afternoon in the A/C. 

Supposed to be 110 degree heat index all week!  Gonna be a hot one!!
